Cognescenti makes premium face and body care products from our base in Alexandria, NSW. We're a team of 34, and we're growing — we've been focused on export but now we want to expand our sales within Australia.

The Opportunity

This is a new role, which means you'd be shaping it. We need someone who can build our retail distribution across Australia — independents and major chains — and who's comfortable doing the strategy and the legwork. You'd work directly with our leadership team and lead our trade fair presence alongside broader marketing activity.

What You'll Be Doing

·         Developing and executing sales strategies to expand our retail network nationally

·         Managing relationships from small independents through to large national chains

·         Identifying new business opportunities in beauty and personal care

·         Planning and attending trade fairs and industry events (some weekend travel involved)

·         Working with the internal team on campaigns, product launches, and brand positioning

·         Tracking sales performance and feeding market insights back to the business

What We're Looking For

·         Senior sales and/or marketing experience in beauty, personal care, FMCG, or similar

·         An existing network with Australian retailers — both independents and majors — is a real advantage

·         Someone who can set strategy and still do the work themselves in a mid-sized business

·         Strong communication and negotiation skills

·         Comfortable with regular domestic travel and occasional weekends for trade events

·         Commercially minded with genuine interest in beauty and wellness
