Supporting Residents Through Food 

Location: Alinea Koh-I-Noor, Wembley 

Pay: $28.12/hr + Super

Roster: Part-time – 12 hours per week
Flexible options:

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday OR
• Tuesday & Thursday

Cater Care is seeking an enthusiastic Chef / Cold Larder to join our friendly kitchen team at our aged care site in Wembley.

In this hands-on role, you will prepare fresh, high-quality meals and support the daily dining experience for residents. You’ll work as part of a supportive team focused on delivering consistent, well-presented food in a caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
• Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
• Assemble salads, sandwiches, and cold dishes with consistency and care
• Prepare texture-modified meals as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards

About You

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Experience in a similar role (aged care experience desirable, but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive, reliable and time-efficient approach to work
• Calm and organised in a busy kitchen environment
