Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered clinical care, conducting complex health assessments and implementing robust care interventions.

• Care Planning & Governance: Formulate, review, and evaluate comprehensive care plans that reflect the changing needs and preferences of our residents.

• Multidisciplinary Liaison: Act as the primary clinical point of contact, seamlessly collaborating with General Practitioners (GPs), consultant pharmacists, allied health specialists, and families.

• Team Mentorship: Supervise, support, and mentor Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and personal care assistants to foster a culture of safety and accountability.

• Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with legislation, supporting the facility through audit cycles and accreditation requirements.

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Registration: Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).

• Aged Care Expertise: Proven experience in an Australian aged care environment, with a strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

• Advanced Clinical Skills: Demonstrated competence in complex care management, including wound care, palliative care, and effective behavioral management (specialized dementia care experience is a plus).

• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and build trust with residents and stakeholders.

• Time Management: Highly developed organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing clinical priorities autonomously.
