About Flinders House

Flinders House is a brand new 102-bed residential aged care home opening in Tannum Sands in August 2026. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our founding clinical team and play a key role in shaping the culture, clinical excellence, and resident experience from day one.

About the Role

Reporting to the Facility Manager and working closely with the multidisciplinary leadership team, you will:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to residents

• Conduct clinical assessments, care planning, evaluations and documentation

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with professional standards and legislative requirements

• Support compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance requirements and organisational policies

• Maintain compliance with mandatory reporting, resident safeguarding, infection prevention and control requirements

• Participate in incident management, quality improvement activities and continuous learning initiatives

• Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and support to care staff

• Liaise effectively with residents, families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals

• Contribute to a positive workplace culture focused on quality care and resident outcomes

• Work across a rotating roster including day, night and weekend shifts

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Previous experience in residential aged care or a related clinical environment

• Strong understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care principles

• Excellent clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Commitment to resident dignity, choice, safety and quality outcomes

• An Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead qualification would be highly regarded

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must be able to provide:

• Current National Police Check suitable for aged care employment

• Current CPR Certificate

• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Evidence of Australian working rights
