We are seeking expert, discreet Aged Care home care staff for regular ongoing overnight and daytime care with our private clients across Melbourne. This includes short and long days (e.g. 3 to 8 hours), active and inactive nights, up to 24 hour live in care.

We're looking for staff with immediate availability and who can commit to at least 4 days a week.

About the role

As an Acquaint Personal Carer, your shifts will vary depending on client needs. You’ll be carefully matched to clients and provide personal care, companionship, drive to appointments, perhaps some cooking (our clients absolutely love great cooks!) and household assistance. You will work in their homes and local communities at locations that suit you. 

We've got interesting work such as live in care, overnight care and even to accompany clients on interstate and overseas trips. 

To be successful, you’ll:

• have a smile on your face and be a good conversationalist (after all, our clients are seeking more than just someone to come in and do tasks and leave)

• be passionate about supporting older people at home

• be honest, professional, reliable, and committed - with a strong focus on excellent customer service

• be effective when working on your own

• and given our client profile, you'll be incredibly discreet and adhere to our strict privacy, confidentiality and communication requirements.

Your qualifications and skills

• A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care is required, or substantial equivalent experience providing care for older clientele.

• If you have dementia qualifications this will be viewed favourably.

• An unrestricted Victorian driver's licence is essential.

• Access to a clean, reliable car is essential.

• Must have permanent work rights in Australia, without restrictions.

• A strong understanding of working safely and responsibly.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly when working with older clients.

• An appreciation and commitment to the strict need for privacy for our clientele.

• Attention to detail with sound organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
