Due to continued growth and expansion, BRAMS is seeking Aged Care & Disability Support Workers to join the team in Broome, WA.
Reporting to the Aged & Disability Operations Manager, these roles support community members accessing Aged Care, Disability, and NDIS services.
Working both independently and within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical, person-centred assistance to help clients maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and stay connected to the community. This includes support with transport, home tasks, community access, and personal care, along with maintaining accurate records and case notes.
These positions are available in full-time, part-time, and casual arrangements.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing caring, culturally respectful support to people accessing Aged Care, Disability, and NDIS services
Supporting clients with daily tasks, home duties, community access, transport, and personal care
Completing client documentation, case notes, and required reports
Working both autonomously and as part of a caring, professional team
Assisting in the delivery of person-centred, goal-based support plans
Promoting independence, wellbeing, safety, and dignity at all times
The successful candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and motivated to support community members to live with independence and dignity.
You’ll demonstrate:
Experience providing support services to older people or people with disability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to a supportive team
Basic administrative skills, including maintaining accurate case notes
Commitment to culturally safe practice and working respectfully in Aboriginal communities
A Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability Support, or Individual Support is highly regarded. If you do not currently hold this qualification, BRAMS will support you to obtain it while working.
You will also require:
A current Australian driver’s licence
A current or willingness to obtain:
Working With Children Check (OCHRE Card)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
National Police Clearance
Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or community health setting will be highly regarded.
